In our second year, Women’s March Sacramento was honored by Mayor Steinberg, recognizing the 3rd Saturday of January as Women’s Voices Day. On this day of January 2018, 36,000 people of all backgrounds–– women, men and gender nonconforming people, young and old, of diverse faiths, differently abled, immigrants and indigenous--came together, 36,000 strong, to march in solidarity, celebrating women’s rights as human rights.

In its current form, under new coalition leadership, Women’s March Sacramento works to serve the many Women's Civil Rights organizations in the CA State Capitol. Click here for a calendar of local women’s civil rights events throughout the year.

I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.
